Inorganic Acid Technology (IAT)

Usually bright green. Mainly used in older vehicles. Contains corrosion inhibitors to protect radiator, engine, and other metal parts.

Organic Acid Technology (OAT)

Usually orange, yellow, or red. Contains corrosion inhibitors that enable it to last longer.

Hybrid Organic Acid Technology (HOAT)

Typically orange or yellow. A mix of IAT and OAT, designed for new cars. Include added silicates for aluminum protection and corrosion prevention.

Nitrite, Organic Additive Technology (NOAT)

Includes nitrite and molybdate liner pitting protection, as well as extended life benefits from organic additives
